Kolkata may touch 40 degree next week
Dry air has started entering South Bengal from North India. The mercury is slowly rising. The temperature in Kolkata will reach 40 degree Celsius next week. Bengal will suffer from dry heat like North India.
The maximum temperature in South Bengal fell between 27 and 29 degrees last week also due to cloud and rain. Temperature is unlikely to drop for now. Rather, Bengal will suffer from dry heat like North India. Due to the decrease in humidity in the air, there is little chance of stormy rain for a few days. Even if it rains, there is very little chance of the heat decreasing.
On the other hand, the heat will increase due to dry air coming from Central and North India.
Saturday and Sunday will be uncomfortably hot. Mercury will rise further from Monday. Due to this dry hot air in the afternoon, loo can blow. As a result, there is a risk of heatstroke, the air office has warned.
Experts have advised people to use umbrellas to get rid of heat illness. Avoiding the sun, resting in a cool place if you feel uncomfortable, and drinking more water are also advised. In terms of clothing, it is better to wear light cotton clothes. It is better not to be on the road from 11 am to 4 pm.
The sky will be partly cloudy today on Saturday. Maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 37 degrees and 27 degrees. Mercury may climb next week. As a result, there is a strong possibility of celebrating the Bengali New Year with pomp. This weather can only be relieved by rain.
