Parking fee in Kolkata at old rate, Bobby Hakim under pressure after Chief Minister's order

KMC enforced new car parking rates in Kolkata from April 1. After seven days on Friday, the corporation withdrew the increased parking fee guidelines.

Kolkata Municipality has issued new guidelines saying that the increased parking fee guidelines have been withdrawn. Trinamool spokesperson Kunal Ghosh held a press conference on Friday afternoon. He clearly said that the matter of increasing the parking fee was not discussed with the Chief Minister and Trinamool leader.

According to Kunal, Mamata Banerjee is never in favor of imposing additional burden on the common man. His political philosophy is to provide financial solutions to common people. The municipality took the decision to increase the parking fee without consulting the Chief Minister. Kunal also said that Mamata Banerjee also said to withdraw the directive. However, Mayor Firhad Hakim expressed his regret about why Kunal Ghosh did not tell him this directly in a press conference.
