Interrupted metro service in Kolkata on Saturday and Sunday!

Metro services were disrupted in Kolkata on Saturday and Sunday. Daily commuters are going to suffer. Due to regular track maintenance work, a mega power block will run between Mahanayak Uttam Kumar to Kavi Subhash Metro stations. Therefore, fewer metros will run on Saturdays and Sundays in the city of Kolkata.

No metro will run from Mahanayak Uttamkumar i.e. Talliganj station to Kabi Subhash i.e. New Garia station for a total of 3 hours and 10 minutes on Saturday from 6:50 am to 10:00 am.

Metro services will remain normal from Dakshineswar station to Mahanayak Uttam Kumar. However, after 10 am, the metro movement will be normal even up to Kabi Subhash station.

No metro will run between Mahanayak Uttamkumar and Kavi Subhash stations on Sunday from 9 am to 10 am. However, like Saturday, the metro will run from Dakshineshwar to Kabi Subhash according to the fixed schedule during this period. After 10 am metro will run to Kabi Subhash station.
