The pilot was suspended for taking his girlfriend to the cockpit

Air India pilot suspended for 2 months for allegedly having a 'good time' in the cockpit of a plane with a female friend. Besides, the Director General of Civil Aviation has also fined Air India Rs 30 lakh for this incident.

On February 27, the pilot of an Air India plane called his female friend into the cockpit, an employee of the airline alleged. He complained that according to the rules, no passenger can enter the cockpit. But breaking that rule, the pilot allowed his girlfriend into the cockpit. Not only that, the flight attendants are told to make all sorts of arrangements in the cockpit to welcome the girlfriend. Apart from this, workers are also instructed to give alcohol and food.

The flight attendant also complained that he was asked to provide a pillow so that his girlfriend could sit comfortably. It was said to arrange just as the arrangement is done in the bedroom of the house. The flight attendant claimed, 'When I was asked to bring drinks and food for the lady, I told the captain, I cannot serve alcohol in the cockpit. Hearing this, he got a little excited. Since then, he started treating me like an attendant.'

It is said that two people were in the cockpit for more than an hour. There was an uproar over this incident. The DGCA accused Air India of not reporting the incident at the right time. At the same time, the matter should have been considered seriously, DGCA feels that there was a deficiency on the part of Air India. After that, Air India was fined Rs.30 lakh.
