Strict action on unfit vehicles, state informed

Along with other states, the number of vehicles is also increasing in West Bengal. Especially in urban and suburban areas, most people are not seen to go out on the road without a vehicle. With the large number of vehicles on the roads, the government is keeping vigilance in various directions to ensure that there are no legal loopholes anywhere.

On the other hand, according to various sources, a large number of vehicles plying in West Bengal are unfit. Now the state government has started taking action against all these unfit vehicles. According to sources, 65 percent of the vehicles plying in West Bengal fail to have a fit certificate. This can be seen from cargo vehicles to small cars and even vehicles like Pool car. Strict measures are being taken to monitor all these cases. Transport Minister Snehashish Chakraborty said that in addition to technical, non-technical motor vehicles inspectors will also have to go down the road and check cars. Action will be taken against such vehicles and challan will be levied against them.

In many cases, there are complaints of lack of fit certificate for various pulkars. On the other hand, these pool cars run at a little higher speed to drop the students to school at certain times.

However, their organization has denied the allegation of not having a fit certificate. Their claim is dropped only after all vehicles have fit certificates.
