Mahant of Kapilmuni Ashram wants to give shelter to homeless Rahul
The Lok Sabha secretariat served a notice to Rahul Gandhi to vacate the bungalow after he was dismissed from the post of MP. It is still unclear where the former Congress leader will be after April 22. Because, Rahul does not own any house or flat in Delhi. Anand Bhavan, Rahul's ancestral home in Allahabad, has been a government property for many years.
In the words of a Congress leader, last year in a domestic chat at the party's think tank in Udaipur, Rahul laughingly said, I am 52 years old, I still don't have a house or a flat of my own in Delhi. Rahul is now haunted by that question, where will he be after April 22. In this situation, the possibility of Rahul visiting mother Sonia's bungalow at 10 Janpath is still high. According to Congress sources, many leaders of the party have asked for the responsibility of the residence of the former Congress president. One of them is Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge. As a long-time MP and Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, Kharge got a prime bungalow. The Congress president has made a special request to Rahul to stay in his bungalow.
Meanwhile, a Delhi woman has written to the AICC office that the party leader wants to give her a four-room flat in Delhi for Rahul's stay. The flat is lying empty. Mahila is a worker of Congress Seva Dal in Delhi.
But the most significant invitation came from Sanjay Das, Mahant of the famous Hanumangari temple in Ayodhya. He told the media, 'Rahul Gandhi can come to our arena if he wants. I am willing to give up a room. I will be happy if he is with us.' Who is this Mahanta Sanjay Das? His real identity is the disciple of Gyan Das, Principal of Nirvani Akhara Parishad of Akhil Bharatiya Shad Darshan Akhara Parishad in Hanumangari. This saint of Ayodhya is currently in charge of Kapilmuni Ashram in Bengal. A few years ago, his guru Gnan Das was in charge of this. They took turns in charge of Hanumangari and Kapilmuni Ashram. He has a very cordial relationship with Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. They also left Ayodhya when the Chief Minister went to Sagardeep.
The dispute between Mahant Nityagopal Das of 'Shriram Janmabhoomi Nyas' and Gyan Das of Akhil Bharatiya Shad Darshan Akhara Parishad is in the limelight. The first is a partner of Vishwa Hindu Parishad and BJP in the Ram Mandir construction movement. On the other hand, Mahant Gyan Das of the Hanumangari Temple, located a few feet away on the land marked as Ramjanm Bhoomi, was involved in the construction movement of the Ram Mandir, but he was reluctant to hand over the responsibility to the VHP and the BJP. According to him, no saint can support attempts to profit from politics by keeping Rama in front.
Because of this attitude of Gyan Das, he has always been close to the BJP opposition. He is especially close to Congress and Samajwadi Party. In fact, before the start of the Ram temple movement, the destination of everyone in Ayodhya, from ordinary devotees to leaders and ministers, was the Hanumangari temple. The late Rajiv Gandhi started campaigning for the Lok Sabha polls by banging his head in this temple with the scandal of Bofors gun corruption on his head.
Not only Sanjay Das, the current Mahant of Hanumangari, but Acharya Satyendra Das, the head of Ayodhya's Ram Mandir, came out in support of Rahul Gandhi during the Bharat Joro Yatra. Wishing Rahul success, he said that he is starting a very important work.
