CPM wants fair by-polls in Durgapur, commission
Due to the expiry of the term, Durgapur Pur-Nigam is being managed by a board of trustees. The CPM submitted a demand letter with the signatures of nearly 50,000 people to the State Election Commission for immediate by-polls in Durgapur. They surrounded the Durgapur municipality on April 18 demanding quick and transparent municipal elections.
