China has the right to talk about Doklam, Bhutan's statement is increasing India's concern

It has been 6 years since the Doklam standoff between India and China. Meanwhile, the Prime Minister of Bhutan has made statements that may cause concern for India. According to Bhutan Prime Minister Lotte Tshering, China has the same right as Bhutan to find a solution to the Doklam issue. He said, the responsibility of solving the problem is not of Bhutan alone, but of India, China and Bhutan.

He said this in an interview given to a Belgian newspaper La Libre. Actually Doklam falls in the territory of Bhutan but it is connected to India's Northeast near the Siliguri Corridor. This is why India wants China to stay away from Doklam as it could become a threat to the Siliguri Corridor as well. This is why when China started building the road in Doklam in 2017, India did not allow China to succeed in its plans. This is where the conflict between the two countries started.

Bhutan says that if China and India are ready, then they are also ready to discuss the tri-junction at Doklam. Along with this, Tshering made another alarming statement about China, where he completely denied that China had built 10 villages on its border. In fact, in 2020, some satellite images were released claiming that China has built villages within two kilometers of the Bhutanese border, although there has been no response from Bhutan yet, but now Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering has denied it. Bhutanese Prime Minister Lotte Tshering said that China also has an equal right to resolve the border dispute. At the same time, India believes that China has illegally occupied the area. The Prime Minister of Bhutan said that resolving the border dispute is not a matter of Bhutan alone. We are three. No country is small or big. There are three identical countries. So everyone's share is one third.

China wants to move the triad from Batanga La to a peak called Mount Zipmochi, located seven kilometers to the south. As a result, the Doklam plateau will legally become part of China.

India has opposed the Chinese incursion in Doklam from the beginning. Doklam is strategically close to the highly sensitive Siliguri Corridor. This promontory is the isthmus that separates the northeastern states of India from the rest of the country. China's war strategy is to cut off India's communication with the Northeast by closing the Siliguri Corridor. China is trying to enter the Doklam area as much as possible in such a situation. He also built many roads in this area.
