Another bomb attack in Sasaram; Internet shut down in Nalanda, 109 arrested so far
The violence that erupted around Ram Navami processions in Bihar's Biharsharif and Sasaram shows no signs of stopping. In violence-torn Sasaram, bomb attacks were reported again on Monday morning. According to information, a bomb was hurled at the upper part of a house in Chedilal Goli of Muchi Tola area around 4 am. However, no casualty was reported in this incident.
The police have so far arrested more than a hundred people from both the places. After the latest incident of bombing, tension has spread throughout the area. A large number of police have been deployed at the spot. The bomb disposal team immediately reached the spot after receiving the news of the incident. According to police officials, strictest action will be taken against whoever caused the incident. Police officials are trying to identify the person who threw the bomb.
Internet service has been suspended in Nalanda till tomorrow i.e. April 4. A curfew has already been imposed in the city. In view of the tension in Rohtas too, all educational institutions have been declared closed till April 4.
Several people were reportedly injured in the violence during the Ram Navami procession in Biharsharif. At the same time, the police have strengthened security in both cities. Several police teams are patrolling the area. Police have arrested 109 people so far. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar himself took the information from the officials. Besides identifying the miscreants, strict action has been ordered against them.
The administration has completely shut down internet services in the area. Along with this, all the educational institutions of Sasaram have been ordered to be closed. The police team advises people to stay away from rumours. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh to the families of those who lost their lives in the violence.
Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav said strict action will be taken against every attacker. Whoever is responsible for the violence will not be spared. Also targeting the BJP, Tejashwi said, 'We have always given a befitting reply to any 'test' of the BJP to break the brotherhood. I will continue to pay in the future.' Tejaswi said that 'the state government is keeping a close eye on attempts to disrupt the harmony of the Sangh.'
