Giriraj acknowledged receipt of Trinamool's letter

Union Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Giriraj Singh acknowledged the receipt of Trinamool's letter demanding money owed to the state for the 100-day work and housing scheme. Along with this, in a letter written to Trinamool Lok Sabha leader Sudip Banerjee today, he said that he has sent the matter to the concerned department for necessary action.

Sudeep said, 'We want the center to release the outstanding amount by calling a meeting immediately. West Bengal should not be held back economically. Let the center take action without delay.' A delegation of Trinamool MPs led by general secretary Abhishek Banerjee went to meet the minister to discuss the matter. But Trinamool alleged that the minister did not meet them. They came with a letter to the secretary of the ministry. In Sudeep's words, 'I gave 14 days. It was said that if there is no response within 14 days, the deprived people from the state will be taken to Delhi and the streets will be surrounded to demand the due money. It appears that at least the Union Ministry has kept that in mind.

Trinamool leader Derek O'Brien's statement in the Rajya Sabha, 'The letter of the Central Panchayat and Rural Development Minister is like a golden letter! He himself is a minister. But our letter has been sent to his ministry for consideration. Trinamool's tweet, 'If you are a minister in the ministry, to whom are you sending the letter for consideration'? And Abhishek's tweet, 'Truly this is new India. Giriraj Singh is sending a letter to Giriraj Singh. Unprecedented event!
