Attacks on government trucks distributing flour by people, upset system

Pakistan's financial condition is very bad. People of Pakistan have become dependent on every rupee. Due to skyrocketing price inflation, people are not coming to the streets, the government is running a campaign to distribute free flour. But the situation is such that people are attacking flour delivery trucks.

In Peshawar's Hazar Khawani area, citizens attacked government flour trucks for free, leaving the police and district administration helpless. On the other hand, the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa allocated several trucks to Peshawar to distribute free flour, but there was unrest and chaos among the people.

Pakistani media reported that centers were allocated for distribution of flour at Hazor Khawani Park and Hayatabad Sports Complex, but the system was completely destroyed due to crowding. In this regard, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Secretary Nadeem Aslam Chowdhury visited the new flour distribution center but the situation remained the same.

The government of Pakistan is currently facing a huge economic crisis. The loan from the IMF has not yet been received. On the other hand, Shahbaz Sharif's government is imposing tax burden on the people. Apart from this, inflation has also hindered the people. Starting from ration, the price of fruits has skyrocketed. Inflation in Pakistan has hit a 50-year high of 31.5 percent. Inflation during Ramadan is such that everything becomes expensive. Muhammad Ishaq, a local businessman in Karachi, told Arab News, 'The price of everything has increased and the price of dates has also increased. At the same time, the price of bananas has reached 500 rupees per dozen. Apart from this, grapes are reaching the buyers at rs. 1600 per kg.

Fruit sales have decreased compared to 2022 due to price increase. Vendors cited import restrictions and destruction of local crops as the main reasons behind this.Pakistan was hit by severe floods from June to October last year, inundating two-thirds of Pakistan's territory.
