'Arrest Adani', Trinamool is vocal in demanding Finance Minister and ED office
Gautam Adani should be arrested. Trinamool Congress delegation made this demand after meeting Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Thursday. Lok Sabha MP Pratima Mondal, Abu Taher Khan, Khaliur Rahman, Sunil Mondal were in this party.
Along with this, Shantanu Sen, Abir Biswas, Mausam Noor, Sushmita Deva were also members of the Rajya Sabha. A joint parliamentary committee has been formed to investigate the Adani issue. The Trinamool MPs also kept two caps with the pictures of Adani and Modi in the finance minister's office as a reminder of the day's protest. The cap reads 'Arrest Adani'. All Trinamool MPs have signed that hat. Also, another delegation of Trinamool MPs went to the ED and CBI offices to demand Adani's arrest. But they were blocked at the gate.
On this day, Trinamool's Twitter handle also informed about the matter. It made a clear claim, 'We will never give up in the fight for justice and against the corrupt people who are responsible for the plight of our people.'
It is to be noted that ever since the Hindenburg Report came out, the issue of Adani has been grassroots. Among them, Trinamool has been more vocal in demanding Adani's arrest since last week. They claim that Adani is responsible for the economic loss of Rs 1.20 lakh crore to the country. And Ghasful Shibir has also sought an answer from the Prime Minister in this regard. Meanwhile, NCP supremo Sharad Pawar called for unity on the remote voting machine issue. The meeting is scheduled to be held on Thursday at 6 pm. But Trinamool Congress will not be present in that opposition meeting.
