Went to America and took bath with kitchen saucepan: Mamata Banerjee
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee spoke about various experiences of her life while speaking at the opening ceremony of Dhandhanya Auditorium. While talking about the kindness of Bangladeshis, she told about his experience of traveling abroad.
When the Chief Minister went to the United Nations, the hotel she stayed in America had a kitchen.They had to cook and eat there. But the Chief Minister was caught in the middle of a busy schedule by going out while cooking. Then she had a conversation with a Bangladeshi. When the Bangladeshi came to know about the chief minister's eating and drinking problem, he sent a can of food for her. The amount of food was so much that it was sufficient for a whole week.
The chief minister said, 'I am a bit gene, a homely type of person. I didn't get a bucket or a mug when I went there. Finally, I see that there is a saucepan in the kitchen. I took a bath with that saucepan.' The Chief Minister told about all such interesting experiences of her life. She smiled to herself. She also said, 'Learn by seeing these things. But I didn't let anyone understand that I don't know. I was the first to board an overseas flight. I just saw what the next person was doing. This is how I came to this place to learn.' Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee spoke about various such experiences while inaugurating Dhandhanya Auditorium.
Apart from this, she also highlighted the Dhandhanya Auditorium made by the Works Department. She said, 'These works are done by the poor laborers of our village. But after the work is done, they can't come, can't enter. A no-tree is installed for them. Because, then she has to buy a ticket to enter.' After that, she instructed the chief secretary to make an arrangement to welcome the poor laborers who worked in the construction of this auditorium.
