Temperatures are likely to rise in the city and various districts of South Bengal, meteorologists said. According to Alipur Meteorological Department, there is no such possibility of heavy rain for the next five days. Very light, scattered rain though. However, it is light in South 24 Parganas and East Midnapore. The department has predicted rain. Till recently, the low pressure axis over the state brought a lot of water vapor into the state. To a lesser extent in Calcutta, the western districts especially Bankura, Birbhum, Murshidabad, Burdwan, Medinipur, Jhargram, Malda, and various districts of North Bengal also experienced thunderstorms along with hail.
On the other hand, stormy rain started in the city from last Thursday night. Gusty winds and rains in various southern districts including Kolkata during the night. That trend continues at midnight on Friday. Even on Saturday, it rained throughout the day in various districts from north to south. The Meteorological Department also predicted rain in Kolkata during the night. A few days ago, the department published a bulletin and said that on March 31 and till 1, there will be intermittent rain in various districts of the state. Wind will blow.
