Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar is the special guest at the coronation of King Charles III

Eight months after becoming king, he is finally about to be crowned. Charles III will be sworn in as King of Britain on May 6.

Various dignitaries from the country and abroad have been invited to his coronation. India has also been invited to the coronation. It is known that King Charles III is going to be crowned in Westminster, London on May 6. On the occasion of that event, Jagdeep Dhankhar is going to Britain for two days.

On Tuesday, the Ministry of External Affairs informed that Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar will visit Britain on the 5th and 6th. Charles III and his wife Camilla will be sworn in as Queen Consort on May 6. The Vice President will represent India as an invitee on that occasion.

"India and Britain have historic ties and share commonalities on many issues, including democracy, and rule of law," the Ministry of External Affairs announced.

Earlier, India was also invited to the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II in September 2022. At that time President Draupadi Murmu visited Britain and condoled the death of the queen. This is going to be the first major event in the British royal family since the death of the Queen.
