Six rounds of police in Howrah, drones circling in the sky, tight security for Hanuman Jayanti procession

Police security has been beefed up in Howrah around Hanuman Jayanti procession. Besides providing barricades along the road, senior officials of Howrah City Police are present to take care of security. Also, the RAF has been deployed on various roads.

Aerial surveillance is also being done through drones. In the morning Hanuman Jayanti procession from Ghusuri reached Salkia via GT Road. From there, the procession will go to Kolkata's Barabazar via Bandaghat, Howrah Bridge. A colorful procession also emerges from Lilua. Under the initiative of Hanuman Bhakta Mandal, this procession will end in Kolkata via Salkia, Golabari, Howrah Bridge. Police officers from Lilua, Belur, Bali, Malipanchghara and Nischinda police stations were in charge of security.

On the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, 3 companies of Central Army have been deployed in Kolkata, Barrackpore and Hooghly on the orders of the Calcutta High Court. One of these companies is in Kolkata. This one company central force has been divided in several police station areas of Central Kolkata and North Kolkata. A half army route march will continue in Kolkata, Barrackpore and Hooghly throughout the day today.

On the orders of the High Court, it has been decided to deploy 3 companies of Central Army in the state on Hanuman Jayanti. 'More than 100 people cannot be in the procession', the state government clarified. The decision of the state government to issue section 144 in sensitive areas.
