The situation may change from Saturday! What does the weather department say?

The forecast has informed that the possibility of heatwave continues today and Thursday. Heat wave warnings have been issued especially in Bankura, Purulia, West Burdwan, Jhargram and Birbhum. Also, the weather office says that the heat wave condition will continue in all the districts of South Bengal.

Even in Maldah, North and South Dinajpur, severe heatwave conditions have developed. And for that reason a red alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department. Meanwhile, orange alert has been given in the remaining districts of South Bengal. On the other hand, Yellow Alert has been issued for Jalpaiguri, Cooch Behar and Alipurduar between April 19 and 21 due to heat-related discomfort, except for the hilly areas of the state.

From Saturday, the situation is expected to change even though it is difficult. Alipur Hawa Office informs that there will be partly cloudy sky from Saturday morning. There are even chances of partly cloudy skies in a few cases. Even eight districts of South Bengal are expected to receive rain.

Saturday is Eid day. And the situation is expected to change from that morning. Rain is likely in South Bengal's Twenty Four Parganas, Two Midinipur, Purulia, Bankura and Jhargram. However, it rained in several places in North Bengal on Wednesday.
