Entrepreneur Ratan Tata was awarded an honorary degree by Sister Nivedita University. Addressing the students, professors, and guests present, Governor CV Anand Bose said, 'This university named after Sister Nivedita is a collective seat of excellence, tradition, and values of Nivedita. This temple of learning is the center of knowledge that enlightens and enriches our society. This carrier of India's traditional culture, tradition considers the values of the university to be its greatest mission.'
The governor also said that 'I wish for the blessings of the Almighty for the founder, professors, and students of this university so that this educational institution can become a proper representative of India in terms of quality in the near future.' In his welcome speech at the convocation ceremony, University Chancellor Satyam Roy Chowdhury said, 'There have been many changes in the education system in the past few years. Technology and new aspects of reading and learning methods have brought radical changes in the education system and every education worker and institution has to change with the help of this for the future. Sister Nivedita University is moving forward with this approach to the future with equal importance.' Satyam Roy Chowdhury further said, "On this special day, we are particularly inspired by one of the geniuses of modern India present among us. I would like to tell the students present here to be inspired by the upcoming geniuses and take their education further."
