Shah Rukh Khan Granted Y+ Security Cover Amidst Heightened Security Concerns

In response to Shah Rukh Khan's concerns about receiving death threats following the success of his movies "Pathaan" and "Jawan," the Mumbai Police has decided to provide him with Y+ security. This upgraded security arrangement entails round-the-clock protection from six armed security personnel, a substantial increase from the previous setup, which involved only two security personnel.

The decision to augment Shah Rukh Khan's security was prompted by a letter the actor sent to the Maharashtra government, in which he alerted them to the threats he had been facing in light of his consecutive box office hits. In light of this communication, the Maharashtra government took immediate steps to enhance security measures for the renowned actor.

Last year, actor Salman Khan was granted Y+ security cover due to threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi Gang.

Shah Rukh Khan has a history of facing challenges with the Mumbai underworld and has shown resilience against threats in the past.

Notably, filmmaker Sanjay Gupta recently expressed his admiration for "Jawan" on social media and commended Mr. Khan's determination in overcoming various challenges, including threats from criminal elements.

According to the Maharashtra government's policy, security cover is provided to citizens who face a threat to life. In such cases, the citizens have to pay a fee or deposit a security amount for the protection.
