Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay's order was pending by the Supreme Court
952 teachers of the 9th and 10th classes, group C and 842 of group D have lost their jobs on the order of Calcutta High Court in the Recruitment Scam case. The unemployed appealed to the Supreme Court challenging the order. It is learned that the appointment of these teachers will not be canceled until further orders of the Supreme Court. Calcutta High Court Judge Abhijit Gangopadhyay has asked to cancel the appointment letter by ordering the cancellation of the employment of teachers of classes 9th and 10th of SSC, group C, and group D staff. Challenging that order, the unemployed first went to the Division Bench of the High Court and then to the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court kept the order of the High Court pending.
On April 12, the lawyers of the unemployed told the Supreme Court that the process of canceling their jobs is illegal. The apex court said further hearing was necessary as there was massive corruption in the case. The lawyer of the unemployed claims that according to the decision of the Supreme Court, they are not going to work for now.
