NEET results soon, new rules for tie-breaking
The National Medical Commission (NMC) has come up with a new formula for tie-breaking for Medical Entrance Test NEET-UG. If the scores of some candidates are the same, then the selection or ranking of candidates will be done based on this formula. In the notification issued on June 2, 2023, the commission said that candidates securing equal marks in the NEET-UG examination will be considered first in Physics, then in Chemistry and finally in Biology. If the numbers are still the same, the decision will be made by computerized drawing.
The NMC has clarified that there will be no human intervention in the computerized draw. Through the NEET exam, admissions are made to courses like MBBS, BDS, Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS), and Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS). Every year the number of applicants for NEET-UG is increasing and this time more than 20 lakh applications have been received and 97% have cleared this exam. In this case, when lakhs of students take the exam, many have the same marks and the marks in different subjects are used to determine the ranking.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the NEET-UG results this week. The result may come on the 15th or 16th of June. NTA has released the provisional answer key on its website. The process of preparing the result is going on. The maximum number of students appeared in the exam from Maharashtra.10 countries do not want Ukraine to join NATO
