'Adipurush'! Letter to the Prime Minister demanding to ban the picture

'Adipurush' has been at the centre of controversy since its release. All India Cine Workers Association has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding to ban the film. They claim that the mythological epic Ramayana has been distorted in the movie 'Adipurush'.

This film directed by Om Raut has hit religious sentiments. An FIR has also been filed against director Om Raut, screenwriter Manoj Muntashir Shukla and the producers against the allegations. The letter reads, 'The movie should be stopped screening immediately and banned from Aadipurush theatres and OTT platforms for the future. Regardless of a citizen's religion, everyone in India regards Lord Sri Ram as a God. The film also features Lord Rama and Ravana as video game characters. So 'Adipurush' has hurt the faith of every citizen of the country. The letter also said that 'I demand action against the director, producer and dialogue writer of this film. An FIR needs to be filed against director Om Raut, writer Manoj Muntashi Shukla and the movie's producers. They hurt the sentiments of Hinduism. We need to protect the images of Lord Sri Rama, Mother Sita and Ramsevak Lord Hanuman. But they insulted by making a film on Ramayana.'
