Indian comedian Veer Das won the International Emmy Award

Indian comedian Veer Das took home the Emmy Award. However, she is not alone, she received this award jointly with Derry Girls. He received this award for the Netflix comedy show. India received three nominations for the Emmy Award this time. Among them are comedian Veer Das, actress Shefali Shah and Ekta Kapoor. 2 of them received this award. Veer Das won the comedy award jointly and Ekta Kapoor won the directorial award.

The 51st Emmy Awards were held in New York. Artists from all over the world were present there, three renowned artists from India.

Veer Das won an Emmy for the Netflix comedy show. But she did not get this award alone, Derry girls will get this same award with her. This is the first time an Indian comedian has received this international award. Meanwhile, Bollywood's serial queen Ekta Kapoor also received the Emmy award. Ekta Kapoor won the directorial award. She took to social media and said it was unexpected and a completely different feeling for her, to hold the Emmy award.
