This time, the central government has taken another step in that direction. The Union Home Minister said on Wednesday that the fight against drugs should be done above politics. He also said that from June 2022 to February 2023, 6 lakh kg of drugs have been recovered. Drugs worth 7 thousand of crore rupees were destroyed by burning. At the same time, Shah also said that many countries could not fight against drugs due to some mistakes Drug trafficking in intermediate states is often a hotbed of local politics.

Even Punjab's fugitive Khalistani leader Amritpal Singh has been accused of involvement in drug smuggling. Experts believe that Amit Shah's comments are also significant in this climate.
