How is the central force working? Governor on the way to know
After the High Court order, the state administration is alert about Hanuman Jayanti. Hanuman Jayanti is being celebrated amid tight security across the state from Thursday morning. Central forces are patrolling various parts of the state including Kolkata. Governor CV Anand Bose himself is visiting the streets to see how the central forces and police are working.
3 companies of paramilitary forces have been deployed in the state. Central forces are patrolling 6 places including Jorabagan-Gardenrich, Charu Market, Ekbalpur, Hastings in Kolkata city. 1 section of the force is patrolling in each area. Forces have been deployed in several areas including Howrah, Posta. There are going to be processions from different parts. Security is tight there too. Paramilitary jawans are conducting a route march with the state police.
By 10 o'clock, the Governor left the Raj Bhavan and directly reached the Hanuman temple in Laketown. He gave a message to maintain peace and order in the state by performing puja. In the governor's words, 'We want peace, not war. Bengal is known all over the world for its sense of brotherhood, liberality. May that tradition continue.'
