Rain may fall, heat wave will decrease
Meteorological Department showed a ray of hope. From this day, Saturday, April 22, the weather may change in South Bengal. Some relief may be obtained from severe burns.
Meteorologists are not able to show the light of hope like Kalbaisakhi or torrential rain right now. Scattered light rain is likely over three to four districts including coastal districts by the end of the week. Almost all districts of South Bengal, including Kolkata, are under heatwave warning till next Thursday. As the day progresses, it will flow. Hot and muggy weather may persist through Friday. For now there is no chance of rain in south Bengal districts for four days.
The mercury touched 40 degrees Celsius in North Bengal as well. Heat wave warning issued in Malda, North and South Dinajpur. Somewhere in Malda and Dinajpur there may be a similar situation. Other districts except hilly areas will experience hot and uncomfortable weather. Weather may change in the above five districts of North Bengal from tomorrow.
Rains with thundershowers are likely in Darjeeling, Kalimpong and adjoining hilly districts from Thursday to Saturday.
As the day progresses, the loo is flowing. The Meteorological Department predicts dry, hot and uncomfortably hot weather till next Friday. No chance of rain. Temperatures may drop from Saturday. The possibility of climate change. The maximum temperature in Kolkata touched 40 degree Celsius yesterday. 4.4 degrees Celsius above normal.
The minimum temperature this morning is also 29.3 degrees Celsius. Which is 3 degrees higher than normal.
Temperatures will be above normal across the country. Heat wave warnings are in place for Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar.
