ED summons actor Prakash Raj

Actor Prakash Raj has always been straightforward, whether addressing political issues, social situations, or matters in the film industry. The protesting voice of the actor is consistently heard, and he never misses an opportunity to criticize the BJP, in particular. This time, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned the southern star in connection with the 'Ponzi scheme' scandal.

Prakash Raj is summoned for questioning in the Rs 100 crore Ponzi scheme investigation. On November 20, the Enforcement Directorate summoned the southern actor under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act for alleged links with a Tiruchirappalli-based jewelry manufacturing firm.

The jewelry manufacturing company, accused of financial fraud amounting to Rs 100 crore, is alleged to have collected around Rs 100 crore from common people by enticing them to buy gold and invest in the market, promising substantial returns. The ED has summoned Prakash Raj to investigate this fraud as he has been seen several times as the brand ambassador of the respective company.

Actor Prakash Raj has been ordered to submit all financial transactions with the agency to the federal agency in Chennai next week.
