Bad news for now! Closing the door of Kaziranga!

Bad news for animal lovers. The doors of Kaziranga are about to close. But there is no reason to fear. The Assam Forest Department is going to close the doors of this world-famous sanctuary for four months before monsoons like every time. Apart from floods, it has been decided to keep Kaziranga tourist-free during the animal breeding season. The elephant safari will be closed from May 1 and the jeep safari will be closed from May 16, the notification said.

Kaziranga Sanctuary is usually closed from May to October every year due to monsoon. Because Brahmaputra valley floods every year during monsoon. Due to flooding in this valley, vast areas of Kaziranga forest land are submerged. Last year too there was a terrible flood situation. However, it is known that adequate measures have been taken to protect the animals this year. On the other hand, during the breeding season, tourists are prohibited from disturbing the animals, keeping in mind their safety. Then the wild animals move to the area adjacent to the sanctuary. Special attention should be paid to that aspect.
