The committee strives to ensure that cannabis seeds and leaves are used for medicinal purposes instead of illegal use.
The committee consists of Minister Jagat Singh Negi, MP Surinder Singh and three other MLAs. Apart from its medicinal use, this committee will also take appropriate measures on how to collect more taxes from cannabis.
It is said that the committee will submit its report within a month. Besides, the committee will legalize the cultivation of cannabis in several places in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.
