Cancer diagnosis lesson this time by CHOs

The number of cancer patients is increasing. The prevalence of this non-communicable disease is increasing both in cities and in rural areas. Doctors are emphasizing early diagnosis i.e. screening to control cancer. For that purpose, training of Community Health Officers (CHO) has been started this time training will be jointly conducted by the State Health Department and the Tata Memorial Center in Mumbai.

Health Bhavan, issuing guidelines in this regard on Wednesday, said that 1715 CHOs from eight districts of North Bengal will participate in the training. The training will be conducted in four batches from July 10 to August 5. Each district will take training for three days. Each batch will have two districts. After this, training will continue in South Bengal in the same way. However, the entire training will be through a virtual medium. 130 people from Darjeeling, 37 people from Kalimpong, 211 people from Jalpaiguri, 203 people from Alipurduar, 358 people from Cooch Behar, 348 people from Malda, 221 people from South Dinajpur, and 207 people from North Dinajpur were given pre-test assessment, breast, cervical and mouth cancer symptoms, risk and Disease prevention will be informed. Tata Memorial, Mumbai will also train CHOs on information registration, awareness campaigns, and social responsibility.
