Bomb scare in Puri-New Delhi train. The search started by stopping the train in the middle to avoid danger. The incident spread panic among the passengers on the Purushottam Express on Sunday night. The railway police, fire brigade, and bomb squad stopped the train at Chunur station in the Mirzapur district of Uttar Pradesh and started searching for the bomb.
According to the railway sources, the Purushottam Express departed from Puri to New Delhi at the specified time on this night. After the train left midway, someone called the Dagmagpur station master and informed him about the bomb attack. The unidentified person said that there was a bomb inside the compartment of the Purushottam Express and that the bomb would explode near the Jingura station. Dagmagpur Station Master Purushottam informed the higher authorities after receiving the information about the presence of a bomb in the Express. Then the train is close to Chunur station. Then the railway authorities stopped the train at Chunur station and started a search operation. According to sources, GRP, RPF, fire brigade, and bomb squad have jointly launched a search operation on Purushottam Express at Chunur station.
