New initiative at Kolkata Airport. 'DG Yatra' started at the International Airport. This facility is available at Kolkata Airport from March 31 this year. What is Digi Yatra? It is known that it is a facial recognition based boarding system. As a result, passengers no longer have to stand in line to get boarding passes. You can board the plane only by taking a photo of your face.Not the first in Kolkata. This special service was already started at 3 international airports of the country by the Ministry of Civil Aviation. Delhi, Bangalore and Varanasi airports in the first phase. This system has been launched at Kolkata Airport.

Many have applauded this special technology-based initiative. As a result, time will be saved and thousands of problems will be freed. The trial of DG Yatra started from February 21 this year. A total of 9 thousand 206 passengers availed DG Yatra facility till 30th. Passengers of Air India, IndiGo, Vistara, SpiceJet can avail this facility at Kolkata Airport.

However, to take this DG Yatra service, several rules must be followed. First the passenger has to register his name. Registration kiosks will be installed at the entrance and inside the terminal where it will be. A link will be sent to passenger's mobile after registration. Then the face and eyes will be matched with the face reading machine. After that, if you click on that link, the boarding pass will come on your mobile.
