After canceling the booking, the cab ran with passengers on the streets of Kolkata, the police chased it

A female passenger was again accused of harassment in App-Cab in Kolkata at night. The complainant is a doctor in a private hospital in Kolkata. Police chased the car and rescued the woman. The accused driver was arrested. He allegedly asked the woman to get down from the moving vehicle in the middle of the road.

As the woman refused to get down, the cab started running along the EM bypass with her. In the end, the passenger got rid by calling 100 dial.

According to police sources, the woman's name is Sourabhi Pal. Souravi, a resident of Lake Town area, is a doctor at a private hospital in Mukundapur. He booked an app-cab to return home from the hospital on Friday night. Fares can be negotiated with the driver in the respective cabs. Souravhi complained that after getting into the car, the driver did not want to turn on the AC. On the other hand, he said that he should go in the summer. AC cannot run. The driver canceled the booking as soon as the argument started with the passenger.

Souravhi said, "By then the cab had moved quite a bit with me. I started arguing with him as to why the booking was canceled in this way. The driver asked me to get down. But let me tell you, I will not go anywhere on the road. Have to wait till new booking. But the driver continued to drive the car without hearing that. He used to drive along the EM bypass, sometimes fast, sometimes a little slowly.''

Forced, Souravi then called 100 dial. The police car followed the cab after hearing where the incident was taking place. In the meantime, when the police asked for the number of the vehicle over the phone, the accused driver did not give it. The car was not parked. Instead of coming towards North Kolkata to go to Lake Town, the cab then runs towards South Kolkata via the bypass. It is also alleged that at one point it broke the traffic signal and made a U-turn. After that, however, the police reached the cab. A police van stopped the car from behind. The driver and the woman were taken to East Jadavpur police station.

Souravi lodged a complaint there. Police arrested the driver. Souravi said, "When I booked the cab, the name of the driver that was shown, after taking him to the police station, his other name came up. The person did not even have a driving license.
