No higher secondary without Aadhaar card! Aadhaar number is mandatory for registration

Higher secondary examinations can no longer be given without an Aadhaar card. The West Bengal Higher Education Council issued a notification on Wednesday declaring the Aadhaar number mandatory for exam registration. This rule is going to be effective from next academic year.

Tapas Mukherjee, Secretary of the Higher Education Council, issued the notification on behalf of the West Bengal Higher Education Council.

According to the notification, filling and submission of registration forms for the academic year 2022-24 will be open from August 16 to October 31 on the Parliament's web portal. Late fines can be done from November 3 to November 10.

Can be done till November. It has also been informed that it is mandatory for students to have an Aadhaar number for this registration for the academic year 2023-24. Also, all the students of the academic year 2022-23 who have not provided an Aadhaar number at the time of registration should provide it immediately. Otherwise, it will be problematic to generate their admit card in the upcoming higher secondary examination and the candidates who do not provide an Aadhaar number may not be considered for the higher secondary examination.
